Dead Space 3 – Whats on the discs?

Do I have to burn both discs to play the campaign or does 1 have single player and the other co-op? and do you also have to pay to play co-op?
Xbox 360 version.

Need both discs for the campaign, disc swap part way through Chapter 9.
Game is massively disappointing compared to the first two
