What does FPB mean anyways. I have the 550 ti but I would like to change to 550 ti FPB if its any better. Current:

You linked identical cards with the exception to brand and one having FPB. Therefore, the FPB is “should” be slightly better. Plus I like EVGA over nVidia for GeForce cards.
Answer #2
FPB stands for “Free Performance Boost”.
Therefore it will have slightly higher clock speeds than the original card.
I don’t see the point in spending the money to replace your current card with a practically identical card though..
Done a quick Google, this is apparently the difference.
STOCK CARD (The one you have now)
Core Clock
822 Mhz
Shader Clock
1645 Mhz
FPB CARD
Core Clock
850 Mhz
Shader Clock
1700 Mhz
DIFFERENCE:
Core Clock
28 Mhz
Shader clock
55 Mhz
You might as well just overclock your current card. You’ll get the same, or better results.

Oh yea, didn’t even realize you had the 550 Ti. One does not upgrade from a 550 Ti to a 550 Ti =(
Answer #4
So do you think the FPB is worth the difference? Will I be able to overclock more on the FPB or no.
Answer #5
Overclocking video cards yields hardly any performance gains that is worthwhile, up to 4%. You’d want to keep the temps down to increase service life.
Answer #6
So if I don’t overclock will that little bit help on the FPB help me out?
Answer #7
dude, if you are planning for an update.. go for a higher card..
in real life situation 28MHz difference wont be noticable
and if you overclock your videocard, it might suffer heat issue and
lessen the card’s lifespan.. if you are on the green team.. try browsing more
on the 600 series.. or get a GTX560 Ti that will really show the difference
Answer #8
IF you are getting it for free or for like 10 bucks, yes. But not if you are actually buying it full price. Not worth paying like 100 dollars for 2 FPS more.

I wouldn’t use it even for free waste of time to change
