I don’t know why people faff about with “Hide IP” apps – just pay for a VPN if you are that concerned.
I only mainly use VPN’s for Country restrictions etc.

Your ISP always can know what you are doing, regardless of what things you use, even VPN.
Everything you do goes through your ISP. You might be able to encrypt the transfers so they won’t know specific details, but they’ll still know it’s deliberately encrypted packets (which would arouse suspicions).
Most ISPs don’t care unless they are ordered to by the courts – not caring ensures you stay with them!
But if they are orderd by courts thay will hand over your details. Even America, “land of the free”.. even with the squashed CISPA thing – the Govt. has said it won’t prosecute an ISP who voluntarily hand over the requested info..

activities (Unless your some sort of hardcore criminal) if anything, The anti-piracy organizations is what you should be concerned about. But they can’t get to you

So to sum it up, Avoid public trackers and you should be fine. But if you can’t, Then at least

Exactly – they care if they are told to by a court or an official complaint from companies.
Their business is the supply of the net service – even if you contravene small sections of the terms & conditions (which are there so that they can be enforced when a court tells them to), they don’t bother too much.
When it gets down to it, piracy is only an issue with the RIAA-type arrses.. the people who call it “theft” and try to equate it to stealing a car or a TV..
(We all know it’s copying, not theft – the original is left behind!)

i agree and know this by what is going on with me the last few months.
i have got a wiretap and even if one uses tor or vpn or proxy they still see everything, im only wiretapped because of wifes sister being a bi*ch and reported me for stuff that only a sick git will do.
while you are connected to your isp the servers keep logs of every click and search you do while connected to the web.
Isn't that good if they don't log your activity? That's the point of having a vpn right? So no one can log what I do, meaning they can't track me for anything I do right? Just asking and if you think hide my ass isn't good what should I get. Only tell me good cheap one please.

This is far from accurate!
If you use TOR or a VPN your ISP can only see that you’ve connected to certain servers and exchanged X amount of data for a certain period of time, Nothing else (As the traffic itself would be encrypted) If however your PC is infected with spyware (Or your computer room is full of CCTV cameras) that’s another story of course!
Edit: But yeah, Your ISP would still be able to snoop on your traffic if you use an IP:PORT proxy or a web-based one that doesn’t support SSL.
AFAIK whatever you are doing through Tor would only be known by your ISP if the exit node (which decrypts your packets) is also using your ISP
If you’re losing sleep over this, Install wireshark and check what traffic is sent. All you should see is encrypted blah blah
