Doing some of your own research through Google is the best choice. But here are two recommendations I can give for you.

One of them is for 800 but thought of mentioning as it got a very positive review.

hopefully you get it…there isnt a big selection on here of 3d titles ( i usually get my 3d movies from torrents or megashares) but it is nice watching some of them HQ 10-15gb mkv sbs 3d files man…i have had a 3d tv for 3 years now and i dont regret it at all…i wish the 3d selection was bigger tho… nitro circus is pretty sweet in 3d tho…and the new texas chainsaw that just got leaked even tho it wasnt the best texas chainsaw out of them all…just my 2 cents
Answer #10
so 3d active means i need them £35 plus glasses ?
If that LG 50 inch goes out of stock when i buy it because i wont be buying it until my 3 grand cheque clears
i was going to pay the bit extra for this one
reason why i have a limit is i have to pay some stuff off and i got car tyres to buy, mot, service and tax disc aswell

Good to hear hopefully they will restock soon as the warranty to get yourself would be over £100 easily.

Do NOT! Please people do not!
There are 4K TV’s on the go (meaning 4 times the 1080), and the 3D TV’s are just a hack.
Are you really going to spend the money you do not have on something you will not need?
They are overpriced but not so over so they can feed your consumerism hunger so you can buy that piece of junk? Please do not even try.
People live in a 4 dimensional world. You can already see the three dimensions and the 4th – the time, you’re living it. Don’t be consumerist. I’d never buy a 3D TV not just cuz it’s a waste of money, it’s an insult to yours and mine intelect and judgement.
Just mentioning the 4K. It’s on the go, and as way before the BETA Tapes were overthrown cuz they decided VHS is better, now we have CD’s although something else entirely was in mind, DVD’s are here also cuz of corporate judgment, BRay… so on.
As far as HD goes, I tell you if not the strict jump to 8K (if some of you used Adobe Premiere and After Effects from the CS6 – you can already see you can save the file as as a 4 and 8K format, so what is that all about?) I just wonder what kinda player will you need for the new Ultra Suppa Duppa High Def. And will I need glasses. Come on.
Give the half your money to a charity or for someones education.
We’re deep in the financial gutter and me and everyone around me still think a TV set in black matte defy’s them as a person more then the green one they ordered cuz the green ones were out of stock for ~love~’s sake.

3D TV’S have been around for quite some time now and trust me after so long the novalty will wear off pretty quick. Those glasses are a pain in the ass.
uncomfortable and end up leaving a dry patch on your nose lol.
I would strongly suggest that you wait for the glasses free ones as they are not far off becoming widely available.
As for the 4K ones they are a bit far off at the moment.
wait and get yourself glasses free you’ll be regret free in the long run

You’re joking 4k tv’s on the go yeah right if you’ve got £20K plus spare in your back pockethttp://www.sony.co.uk/product/tv-214-84-lcd/kd-84x9005, all the lad want’s is a half decent tv that will do him a few years and ultimately its his choice all people are doing here is lending a hand and pointing in the right direction.
Answer #17
I was just saying that as far’s money concerned a 3D TV is a hack. Well if your life depends on it to have it and wear the idiotic goggles – it’s your life.
I am aware 4K is expensive. So was the first black and white TV mono set. I’d rather buy a better HD TV or some of, let’s say Technisat’s merch smartTV’s, add a nice HI-FI receiver of choice and speakers. Just an opinion. Oh and Sony isn’t the only A/V, not to mention what else they have their fingers dipped in, company in the world, ‘though they’re trying really bad to be.
Answer #18
now i know this may be a little over your budget but Sony just came out with a new R550 model line here in the states and it uses Passive 3D whcih allows you to even use the movie theater glasses…seems to be getting good reviews…it comes in a few sizes.
