8 GB FLASH DRIVE

August 6th, 2016

No usable free extent could be found. It may be that there is insufficient
free space to create a partition at the specified size and offset. Specify
different size and offset values or don’t specify either to create the
maximum sized partition. It may be that the disk is partitioned using the MBR di
sk
partitioning format and the disk contains either 4 primary partitions, (no
more partitions may be created), or 3 primary partitions and one extended
partition, (only logical drives may be created).

We’ll need some more information to help you. I’m guessing that’s an error message; but from what program, and what are you trying to do?
Also, what is your flash drive and how old is it?
Answer #2
Reset it to 8 gb less then 1 year old.
Answer #3
Reset it?
Was it a fake 16 or 32G drive before it wa “reset”? Or do you mean “format” when you say “reset”?

Without more info, it’s hard to guess what could be wrong.
One thing you could try is to boot up to a linux live CD and format the drive to one of the linux formats then reboot to windows and try to reformat back to windows format.
It might also just be dead!
Answer #4
Disk part it’s what saying
now Windows there’s no media to store but that’s idea with linux.
It was 8gb flash drive.
Answer #5
I can’t understand what you are trying to say, . You need to be more clear of your problems.
Whatever you do, make sure you format it to NTFS and not FAT32.
Answer #6
Don’t take offence here – but I can”t understand the meaning of your words either.
Please use full sentences and be as descriptive as possible.
We can wait, there’s no need to condense sentences down.

Wait – I’m understanding a little bit more – your initial post was JUST what diskpart was telling you? So what was the actual question?
You can’t extend a partition into space that doesn’t exist.
You can’t add a partition if there’s no fre space.
You have to remove existing partitions if you want to make another one, or just format the partition you have.
If you’re saying that windows can’t see anything then it’s likely you do have a linux-type partition there. You need to delete that before you can make a new windows-type one.
Is that what you’re asking?
