IPod/Jailbreak Help

So…this is going to be quite the read, sorry in advance. So, my first question is about cydia, my ifile was acting weird(which is one of my other questions) and so I tried to go into cydia, except that it only wanted to open for about half a second and then shut down. Does anybody have a fix that I could do without having to restore my iPod?
Second question: my ifile is acting weird as well. It won’t let me copy, create, etc anything. I tried copying some music I got and it didn’t want to let me. I checked the permissions and they were in order and correct though it did say that the group was “wheel” and that rather confused me, is that normal? And with my cydia acting up, is there a way I can fix it?

Restore. I had the Cydia crash issue. Had to restore. Try resetting the phone with power + home button once. If that doesn’t work , Restore

So, that’s it? Nothing else I can do? Is these any way I can get my songs off of it? That’s pretty much the main thing that I’m concerned about preserving.

To Copy music use sharepod and then restore.

Reboot and try again!
or download iFunBox and grab all your music from var/user/media/iTunes-Control (or something)
THEN restore
