windows 7 install
August 7th, 2016
I have a dv9312tx hp model laptop and it had come with vista ultimate 64 bit os on it
I wanted to install windows 7 I put the windows 7 on usb
Went to the bios and set to priority to boot from usb
After the install from the usb was complete I removed the usb when the restart required page comes
Then I see no operating system found message
Please help guys
Boot with the USB pen again…and try reinstalling…But this time try to not remove until the installation is complete…
thanks for the reply…..
if the pen drive is not removed again it will boot from the usb and it will take me back to the install screen
After the first restart…Go into the bios and set it to boot from the HD first..
if the pen drive is not removed again it will boot from the usb and it will take me back to the install screen
Same install screen or different? There are multiple stages til it completes.
Also,When you boot from your flash drive,Does it give you any menu? like
1st part of setup,2nd,boot from hdd and such.
Then just change the boot priority back to the hard drive after the install.
Change boot order back to HHD
Run the install from usb. After the initial reboot, change boot order back to boot to hdd. The install will then continue where it left off. The install is not done after the first reboot. It has more work to do. The usb drive will be needed to continue the install, but will need to boot from hdd.
thanks for all ur replies trying them…..
tried setting it to note book hard drive and i get the message no operating system found

When you get to chose where to install…Click on the drive options at the bottom and go on format…Then proceed…That worked for me a few times when install failed to write the boot files..
