Hi
Well, I bought a 4GB USB flash drive yesterday, but for some reason it shows 3,73 I tried formatting it, but it doesn’t help.
Hope you’ll be able to help me.

Answer #1
its alright. 4GB pendrive showing 3.7 to 3.8GB. its perfect dnt worry about that.
Answer #2
Manufacturers class 1,000,000,000 bytes as a Gigabyte but Windows defines it by dividing the total capacity in bytes by 1,073,741,824, hence 4GB flash will show as yours has, 3.73GB.
The same as a 1TB Hard drive will only show as about 931GB
Answer #3
It's basically just a discrepancy with how manufacturers counts (in decimal) and how computers count (in binary).
Humans tend to use 1000 bytes = 1 KB, 1000 KB = 1 MB, 1000 MB = 1 GB.
Computers are binary so they use 1024 bytes = 1 KB, 1024 KB = 1MB, and 1024 MB = 1GB.
If you do the math, 4GB equals about 3.73GBs after you do the conversion.
