Hi,
Every time I attempt to download a file using Mega, I see high memory and cpu usage which ultimately leads to Firefox crashing, I’ve updated my FF version a couple of times but doesn’t resolve issue and tried using Internet download manager but not sure it supports Mega ?

Yeah Mega.co.nz I’ve tried using two different browsers Internet Explorer & Firefox but both max out my CPU & Memory which is crazy.. I’m not sure if it’s due to the encryption Mega uses but my computer is low spec 8 years old but have never experienced downloading issues before. It’s like my PC locks up due to CPU being maxed out and can barley continue to use computer until file download has finished which downloads at regular normal speed 1 to 1.7MB/Sec
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.93GHz

Yea, I recently heard someone else having issues. Their not in Beta anymore, so it should be working. I hope you tried the FF App before all of this =/

Hey, I reinstalled the Mega Browser Extension (2.0.84) which seems to make downloading more stable as it no longer crashes the browser but it still uses an excessive amount of memory & CPU and occasionally the download gets stuck which requires cancelling and restarting the download.
I had the Mega browser extension installed from the start but after viewing ‘s post I searched the firefox add-on database for Mega extension and installed version 1.0.3 then updated ack to 2.0.84 when prompted by Mega to install their browser extension.
It downloads so I guess that’s all that matter I have no issues uploading just high cpu & memory while downloading.
Answer #6
I would expect that from a Pentium 4
