Installing ram problem!

This is my mac:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1270#link2
I followed the instructions with this memory :
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KB21KA/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
The problem is the top slot isnt being read for some reason anymore. I put the 2 gig on the bottom and 4 gig on the top slot but system profiler is saying only 2 gigs installed and top one is disabled:
Memory Slots:
  ECC:   Disabled
BANK 0/DIMM0:
  Size:   Empty
  Type:   Empty
  Speed:   Empty
  Status:   Empty
  Manufacturer:   Empty
  Part Number:   Empty
  Serial Number:   Empty
BANK 1/DIMM0:
  Size:   2 GB
  Type:   DDR3
  Speed:   1067 MHz
  Status:   OK
  Manufacturer:   0x80CE
  Part Number:   0x4D34373142353637334648302D4346382020
  Serial Number:   0x439AD768

I then switched the order and put 4 gig on the bottom and 2 gig on top. And its still same. Its saying now 4 gigs is installed and top slot is still disabled. Idk what to do?
Did I break the slot? Because I just put both of the original 2 gig chips and its saying only one is only like before.

Answer #1
the other slot could be damaged.
Answer #2
I think so =/ I think I messed it up! It was fine before but after installing it 4 gig with 2 gig one slot stopped working =( how much would this be to fix?
Seems like its working now. I changed the orders again and its saying 6 gigs
