August 1st, 2016

Windows 8.1 AIO 20in1 x64 en-US Pre-Activated DaRT 8.1 Jan2014 installed on my pc.
up pops this 887mb update. What pray tell requires a gb since it is already 8.1
windows information shows:
windows 8.1 pro media with media ctr just a curiosity. not seen such a large daily update.
edit: since I have a multi boot, where would 8 save this huge update, so I won’t have to run it again?

Answer #3
perfect, thank you
you’re welcome mate
I’m sure there will be many more people asking about it in the weeks to come.
*Edit – it will install the updates. Just download them from the links in the thread and save them incase you need to re-install if you have a slow connection. The files are MSI (Microslop Installer)
Answer #4
appreciate that.
Answer #5

further research implies this is not an msi/msu/exe type update, rather a multi, when I say I mean like a bunch of re namable files which actually goes firmly in the too hard to do box. who knows the order? too many to go one by one (there is a program at mydigitallife that can rename these multi updates but seems like pie in the sky. a more plausible, not tried personally yet, WUD250B1002Setup.exe (Windows Updates Downloader (WUD) Program Files) which is supposedly on a mydigitallife thread: forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/10872-Windows-Updates-Downloader-Project. further direction on this at digital: Updated list’s courtesy of steven4554. Get them here. this guy Is suppose to provide a thread devoted to this but it is beyond my ability to navigate to it in digital forum.
anyone else with advanced experience/kas’s do please jump in.

You can just go to your windows update.log in the windows directory look for
014-04-2017:46:01:228120052dcDnldMgr * BITS job initialized, JobId = {xxxxxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx}
2014-04-2017:46:01:279120052dcDnldMgr * Downloading from http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/Content/22/6EBFD6596F11A7139C447427D2B194E51FA16022.exe to C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(full file).
And either use a download manager or copy the completed file.
