$600 computer for editing?

I read somewhere that I can build a pretty ok computer for video editing in premiere and after effects without it being laggy for under $600. But I dont know nothing when it comes to computer hardware and building. So if someone can please provide me with information on what I would need to buy, It would be greatly appreciated!
I already have the monitor. Just need to build the computer/tower

You could probably fit in a i5 2500k based system.
Do you need everything or do you have parts you will be using already? Case, mouse, keyboard, PSU, hdd’s etc and OS?
Onboard graphics is ok?

I have my old desktop. Idk wat I can use from that other man the keyboard, mouse and the monitor

if you have $600 to spend , i reckon u don’t need to build yr own with old parts , and maybe end up with mismatched parts and drivers , and performance disappointments when you switch it on..
fpr $600 ,u shud be able to buy a complete populated box { without monitor } to the performance spec u need …
