I use waterfox portable 64bit on windows (I don’t boot windows often) & Chromium on Lubuntu 14.04.01.
anyway, you should not be getting pop ups on every site you visit, the odd times yes but not all…
have you check your system for adware, spyware and viruses?

you need to check if you have spyware, also there is spyware targeting chrome for example the savvon extension will reinstall itself unless you remove it with your virus program.

You have popups on every screen?? I use Chrome and I can’t remember the last time I saw a popup. Strange. Certainly sounds like your infected in someway.

Also make sure you downloaded and installed Chrome from the official site. There are tons of sites that have added malware/toolbars etc to the installation file for those that just click the first links on a search.

You might want to run advast! browser cleaner..

Then install a good real time anti spyware like Malwarebytes..
