HP Deskjet 3524 (Counterfeit ink cartriges message)

January 24th, 2020

Hi,
I have a Hp deskjet 3524 printer and I recently installed non genuine ink cartridges.
A message appears all the time, saying that I am using fake cartridges and it’s making it extremely annoying on my computer.
Is there a firmware hack that would disable this detection system in the printer?
The cartridges have a chip on them, but the printer can’t display the ink levels.
A firmware hack for the 3524 HP deskjet? or some sort of software?
Much obliged.

Sounds like you should complain about the cartridges…Their chips should read ink levels properly.
They don’t seem to me to be very compatible!
Looks like that may be a rare model printer?
Can’t see cartridges for that model listed on eBay, only for 3520.
