Question about BluRay recorder

August 8th, 2013

Hello guys, I have some questions before buying my first bluray recorder.
1) I was thinking about to get an external bluray recorder instead an internal. The external is USB 2.0. May I loose performance burning a BD?
2) How much time the recorder spent burning a 25GB and 50GB BD??
3) I really want to buy a recorder from Pioneer. I think it’s the best recorder. But I want to know about your UX with Pioneer, LG, BenQ, Sony and all.
Thank you!

I bought one of these a few years back, it is a really good burner (but expensive, although a lot cheaper than when I bought it) If it was crap with bad reviews etc, then it would have been discontinued by now. It is a little on the large size for an external burner.

The trouble with internal burners is you are restricted to that machine, whereas an external you can connect to any pc, and some media players for playing back BD’s. It does take longer burning BR’s than DVD’s as there is a lot more data, and it also depends on the media speed.
I would say one thing though, buy decent quality media, or you will end up with many coasters, cheaps BR’s are crap.
