What’s wrong with my new site?

August 3rd, 2016

Hi,
Ive recently created a new site for the arduino community where users can view and post new projects.
However, people don’t seem interested in it, i cannot figure out what the problem is why people don’t register / post …
The site in question ….
http://www.duinosplayground.com
Is it:
Speed?
Layout?
Theme / colors
Content?
what is it then ?
Can some one help me out on this plz ?
Thx

The problem is that you are a newcomer among the giants. People interested in programming have their preferred sites, people interested in electronic’s hacks have hackaday. If you don’t offer something very unique people tend to stick with their preferred site.
When I will have some times I will upload some projects to your site.
Answer #2
Ive done my research and it seems there are no (3th party) communities on the net, so iam trying to build one
I can use all the help i can get atm
The basic idea is to gather all arduino (only arduino) projects on 1 website (text or youtube video)
with a forum where they can discuss there projects and ask for help
Answer #3
Do you know someone that could give you visibility? If not you should try posting in hackernews. You can be assured that by posting it on reddit and ycombinator someone will surely notice(in case that you haven’t)
Answer #4
never used reddit or ycombinator, but ill post it on there
Answer #5
1-your web site address…….What?
2-arduino developers ……again What?
Looks like you have a very small audience. “something” playground reminds me of the last porn site I visited
Answer #6
the name “arduino” is copyrighted and cannot be used in my domain name
Answer #7
Your site looks decent. Simple, but decent. The only way to get “traffic” is to post your site on the “big” sites/forums. Nobody really clicks on ads these days so using an ad would be pointless.
Answer #8
Check again, complete new site / layout, is it now more then “decent”?
Dont take it offensive, but yea “decent” is not good enough for me
Answer #9
Just my two cents.. Im quite tech savvy, but dont have a clue what arduino is??? Had a 30sec look and might be right with explaining it, maybe not?? Id say one, the name doesnt do it justice..
Two, you need an explanation page to state what when who why the site is about, I dont have a clue to be honest, (just an idea)..
Taking into account looks and so forth it is pretty good, just needs more newbie info and to be easier to find..
Considering I dont know what arduino is how can I find it as a noob? Or does it have a higher market I am not aware off?? (dont think so, but it is possible)..
Answer #10
OK ill see what i can do
Thx for the feedback
Answer #11
As for the name: http://arduino.cc/en/Trademark/HomePage?from=Main.Trademark
In general the name and Arduino logo MUST NOT BE used to identify products or content, commercial or non commercial that are not released by Arduino.
Bummer their ….
As for the “about”, http://www.duinosplayground.com/about
Maybe i can add more info to that, and add some on the homepage as well
Please do not double post, -
#3.7 I It is forbidden to double post on the board. It means that you are not allowed to reply twice in a row in any topic. Use the edit button when altering your reply if you're the last to post in the topic.

A amature way to handle people/posts

What’s wrong with it ?
Answer #14
What is “amature”? Surely you meant “A mature way to handle people/posts”. Hopefully you are not looking for people with “An amateur way to handle people/posts”.
Answer #15
Its a typo
Overall, how is your “website experience” ?
Likes, dislikes, … ?
Answer #16
Umm… Arduino is not unknown as some people here claim, IMO you should get a deal with some vendor (idk if you can do that) and offer links for purchasing too or tag keywords related to purchasing boards and also add yt vids, idk what do you mean by “there is no 3rd party community” but big stores like adafruit and sparkfun already have parts at their websites where people post tuts so…
Answer #17
For example: community boards, like this one.
Lets say the product is “”, and looking around the web there are ALLOT of board/websites for
but looking at the arduino, there are no community forums, but some websites
I just want to gather all projects and list them on a website, and use a forum for ppl to discuss various subjects
