Adobe InDesign Export Makes PDFs Have Overlapping Text

When I create menus using InDesign, the menu looks perfectly fine in the program but when I export the file as a PDF and view it, it shows overlapping text like the dot alignment and words are on top of each other. I exported as a JPEG, and it looks fine, it only seems to happen as a PDF.
Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?

You could try saving it as en .eps, then open it it some thing like illustrator and then save a pdf from there. Might help?
That works! Thank you, I didn’t think of that earlier. I wish I knew the solution to why this happens in InDesign though.
