Riddler,
1. You could find the answer here:
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=156112&atid=798476
2. Staxrip
License: Free (GPL)
Language:English
Developer:Planetdvb
OS:Win98/98SE/Me/2000/XP (maybe its not Compatible with Win 7)
3.
you can try changing the compatibility settings for the program,
either manually or by using the Program Compatibility troubleshooter.

^^^ Staxrip was working fine with Windows 7 but than I had to format my PC from than on I am facing this problem
Infact AVI file works fine on staxrip but staxrip crashes when I try some other file like mkv or vob
In Megui nothing works ……….

Riddler,
Have you installed:
http://shark007.net/win7codecs.html
or
http://www.windows7codecs.com/
or
http://www.codecguide.com/
you might need to do so – as well check that your A\Virus Program
is not blocking or resticting its behaviour by indicating a “File” is a threat and\or Virus,
if this is the case! you need to add that file to the Exception List in the A\Viruis Client.
A lot off Virus Companies are starting to add in their Database Updates,
Know Patch, Keygen, Crack & Hack Codes – thus rendering any of the Identified
programs Useless!
I say this because you may be running a Legit Prog! But in reality the file names and extentions
may be identified as Non Legit.
It is something to vigilant about – especially when Decoding etc – Any changes made
to any files by another program can and most of the time will be detected by Protection
Software especially when using Windows 7

Valdaz
