Viewing a website Directory’s files?

If I wanted to view a website directory’s files (Example http://www.site.com/images/)
But there was a blank Index.html there, how would I be able to view the files? Does anyone know of any programs that can? Or is it impossible?

You can’t do it unless the dir has intentionally been left open by the admin (IE – no index or .htaccess files). Basically, it can’t be done.

You could try spidering the site (ie. use a program to download everything you choose, such as images from it to your computer). It depends on how things are hosted as to which program to use.

This, plus… leaving the directory without a blank index.html is considered a security risk.
