Acer Aspire 5530G sound driver help

March 17th, 2014

So A friend asked me to reinstall windows for him on his laptop, and to install the basics : driver- Video programs and stuff like that. . . . SO I did….. But the sound just wont work.
Went to the official Acer site and used that driver. No go.
Used Driver Genius. No go.
Tried my luck from a random forum who got suggested a driver. No go.
Any tips? Have not idea how to find the right driver for this thing.
All i know is that this is a ACER ASPIRE 5530G – Running Windows 7 32b-
EDIT:
here is what is happening when i install the driver gotten from the official site.
It installs fine, asks for restart- restarts- a bubble opens over the volume icon stating “installing driver”- Then the sound icon shows its active. Shortly after it turns of again (red X) – and it says “one or more audio service isn’t running”-

did you look under your services to see if something needs to be enabled ?
hit “winkey+R” then type in “services.msc”
