[SOLVED] Suggest DNS server
November 1st, 2013
Use this.

It is taking too much time in testing. Any specific answer?
It would have probably finished by the time you took to reply if you just let it run. Be patient.

Completed test in about 50 minutes. It showed some suggestions, most of them have notes like this:
* Vulnerable to poisoning attacks (poor port diversity)
* www.*******.com is hijacked: ***.***.***.***
* ******.com.: Timeout
* *******.com appears incorrect: ***.***.***.***
Which notes should I ignore?
@mwe12 Thanks. Will check them.
50 minutes? Really? It takes me around 5-8 minutes to complete that. You should just take note of the DNS server that gives you the best performance and use that.
DNSBench is pretty good too

It was showing error with Internet Explorer, so I selected “Cache Latency Test (50% hit, 50% miss)(5000)”. It tested about 4517 sites with all DNS servers for half an hour, then tasted something else. I switched to fastest DNS server it has suggested. Now all blogspot.com sites are opening.
Thank you very much.
@gilly going to try it now.
There’s definitely a problem with your internet connection if it takes that long. Probably packet loss. Check with your ISP.

I would have already contacted my ISP if they could answer my questions. My maximum speed is around 180kbps and I noticed that the test was going on with 2kbps (without any net-hungry applications running). Anyway resolving speed is now better.
@gilly that software suggests almost same results. I better stick with this new DNS server which is even faster than openDNS and Google’s public DNS.
Thanks everyone.
