How to get working a downloaded game for PS3 on my console

What must I do when I have downloaded a game. Must I burn the game on a Blu-Ray disc or can I do it otherwise? Please help me

1) What’s your PS3’s current firmware? Are you running custom firmware?
2) Do you own a PSJailbreak, or a similar USB key (or an iPod running DOSBOX)?
3) Do you by any chance have an external harddrive?
4) Do you have FTP set up to work with your PS3?

It is a brand new console so suppose it is the latest firmware.

Sorry but I don’t don’t very much about consoles? I’m not one of the youngest persons. The first reason I bought a PS3 is for my grand chidren and also I will try to play some games.

So you just bought it? Then forget about it, you need to be on firmware 3.55 or lower in order to install a CFW (custom firmware) that allows you to play download games. Your PS3 probably has a firmware of 3.6x or higher so you’ll just have to wait.

Pretty sure PS3 slim consoles are 3.50.
All i can say…Jailbreak your PS3 and dont update the system!

My firmware is 3.73 so Isupose I can’t use a jailbreak. I think you’re right zikko. I’ll just have to wait

however you can flash to 3.55 from 3.73 (most consoles) with a teensy or progskeet flasher
e3 flasher is junk as half the promisses they made aren’t in the final product so 99 dollar is way to expensive
if people want i can make a tutorial of it

i wouldnt bother using that if you dunno what ur doing if the console if on the newest firmware id advise you to just forget about it.
