wanting to move to KIS

August 8th, 2016

i am about tired of nod32. it was a great anti-virus but lately it’s been falsely accusing files as viruses and its ticking me off. i want to switch to kaspersky internet security. i tried kaspersky before and i loved it but what let me down is how much it slows down your internet connection…
i am wondering if there is a way to bypass the slow connection feature.
also, i am wondering if KIS works well with utorrent and peerguardian 2.

Answer #1
I used to have Nod32 and moved to KIS a while ago, my internet speed hasn’t changed one bit, its as fast as it always was.
Answer #2
hmm strange. when i tried it about a half a year ago, it really slowed down your IC severly… maybe a update fixed it im not sure. ill try it soon but first i must find out if utorrent or peerguardian 2 are not affected by KIS.
Answer #3
it slows your computer because it uses a lot of resources, so on (not so) old computers, you might feel the internet to slow down.
just try Bitdefender IS (as good as KIS, but uses less resources) or even better Avira Premium, light, fast and efficient: i’ve installed it on 3 laptops and they work fast now.

last time i tried KIS it used about as much resources as nod32 (except CPU usage when scanning). i heard good things about bitdefender but also heard it uses more resources than nod32 and KIS combined. i never heard of avira does it falsely label things as viruses, does it affect utorrent or peerguardian, and does it pick up every virus you throw at it?
