slow rapidshare upload

Is there a way to fix my average upload speed of 44? speedtest.net shows me downloading and uploading at better speeds. Downloading from rapidshare is quick as can be, but anytime I upload it takes forever. Takes 50 minutes just to upload 150mb game. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

i get the same thing, i think uploading usually goes slower…

There has to be a way to fix it, people upload 100s of GB worth of files, and they wouldn’t be able to if all their uploads were 50ish kb.

Nothing you can really do to improve upload speed other than buying a better connection. The results you get from speedtest is not completely accurate, and is measured in kbps, not to be confused with kb/s which is what rapidshare displays.

I pay for 20 gig connection, best their is where I live in Florida, it’s 90 dollars a month. There is no way around this?

Probably gigaBIT, not gigaBYTE…Meaning 20 billion bytes, or 2.5 megaBYTES. (I think my math is right there)
Anyway…About your Stealth…92/93 base model, right?

Yea Mbps not lot gigabyte. But it’s the fastest connection offered in Central Florida. Yeah it was a 92 base model. It had a screwed up transmission so went to a 2nd gen VR4 to a Camaro. Will probably get another one in the future, Camaro is about a 8mpg car, need a good daily driver like a VR4. How did you blow the engine on the RT?

Not exactly sure what was wrong with it, it was going to cost more to get looked at then I thought the car was worth…So I just scrapped it…I’d really love to have a first gen RT/TT, but am not currently in the position to buy one…and I DEFINITELY don’t miss having to put 19 gallons of premium gas into my tank every 10 days…lol

When I finish uploading a game I will post my results. I will also give rapiduploader a try.
