does anyone know when somebody invents something, for how long he/she has the right for it ? in different countries. i found copyright but it seems its for printed stuff.

Most stuff anyone can imagine today has already been made, you just may not hear about it. Thats the problem you have.

i dont mean that. i mean as someone invented tv, for how long he has the right for it ?

If you patent your invention, WTO/WIPO agreement recommends that the member countries should have the patent protected for at least 20 years.

The length of the intellectual property protection granted is country specific as well.
But WTO/WIPO recommends it to be at least for 20 years, as mentioned in the above site link (though these need not be strictly adhered to by the local patent office and thus they are called recommendations rather than rules. So I’d recommend you check with the nearest office).
