Any way to request new laptop battery?

August 6th, 2016

Last summer I bought an Hp Pavilion Laptop with a 1 year warranty. I was wondering if their was any way to request a replacement battery. There is nothing wrong with my current one, but i can do something to it, to make it seem like it wasn’t my fault. Does HP send out replacement batteries?

Most comapnies consider Batteires consumables and therefore just give it 6 months warranty. At least thats how it happens in Europe. Dunno about there. But confirm it before you do anything to it

I hate to be mean, but that was a really pointless post. “Confirm it before you do anything to it” – Isn’t that why i created a thread here?
“At least thats how it happens in Europe” – Oh yes rules in Europe answers so many questions in the US

You aren’t going to get a new battery, batteries wear out, deal with it. You can’t tamper with the battery without them knowing about it.

The Battery Check indicates the battery should be replaced. Is it covered under warranty? As with all batteries, the maximum capacity of this battery will decrease with time or use. Loss of battery capacity will vary depending on the product configuration and usage, including but not limited to: product model, applications running, power management settings, and product features. The battery warranty does not cover natural deterioration of battery capacity. Your battery is only warranted from defects in materials or workmanship resulting in failure. To determine if your battery has had a warranted failure you may be required to run the HP Battery Check. If the Battery Check indicates the battery should replaced and a Warranty ID is provided in the instructions to contact HP, then the battery replacement may be covered under warranty.
NOTE:If there is a discrepancy around the warranty coverage on the battery, the proof of purchase of the PC or the battery will be required by HP to validate the warranty start date.
