M1530 not working like it used to.

July 31st, 2016

having a few troubles with the Dell XPS M1530.
Things started off fine, the laptops about 10 months old now and for some reason its started juttering during playback of 1080p HD files which it never did before. I thought it was an issue of HDMI cable length as it was happening when I had it hooked up to my tv so got a shorter cable but same problems, so i ran the movies on the normal screen and the same thing occurs, movie and video go out of sync. Defrag, cleanup, chkdsk and a million spyware checks later and the same thing. I ran CPUZ and the t9300 processor is meant to top out at 2.5 ghz but all it seems to output is 1.6 from both cores. Ive tried different revisions of the bios but nothing seems to work atm. Wondering if a fresh install of windows may help.
Can provide more info if needed.
Any advice is welcomed as its really pissing me off lol.

I don’t think it’s anything to do with the cable…And no need to update the Bios…My cable is about 10 meters…No problem…Never updated the bios before…The only thing that can jerk up the movie is maybe bad encoding…Not sure if you tried different movies…Or it could be even a Windows problem…
Answer #2
just use the restore cds/restore partition to reset it back to factory (look in your manual under ‘factory restore’)
Answer #3
To restore to factory settings..Just press F8 at the boot up…It’s just above Safe Mode…
Answer #4
restoring to original was unsuccessfull :S
