i think u should stick to xp for now. I find no reason someone should install vista in their machine so soon. Also there are many appz and that dosent support vista, So be careful before installing,

You have a similar problem with this:

If XP is working fine for you, then I’d stick with it. If your machine is relatively new, you could create a dual-boot setup and give Vista a try. The only appz I’ve had problems with are some of the really old stuff (some still have problems with XP).
DX10 games have nice eye-candy, but they require a lot of grunt to get decent frame-rates.
I like Vista, but once XP SP3 comes out I’ll be creating a dual-boot setup myself.

First off. what are the specs of your system…memory and CPU , mainly ?
Answer #5
The only reason to go for Vista I think is to learn Vista So I run dual boot xp for real and vista to mess with
Answer #6
No added value from Vista. Just removed value
It’s big and bloated, it’s user interface is even stupider than ever before, it assumes you don’t know jack about what you are doing and wants to do it all for you (messing up everything) Hard to find the proper system utils etc etc. Stick to XP
