If you feel up to it then go for it. Not sure what overclocks are possible on the amd’s, only familiar with I7 overclocking.

With BE (Black Edition) the multiplier is unlocked and they overclock great.

If you played your cards right you’d get that CPU @ around 3.5ghz OC’ed imo…
Answer #9
The first question is: what do you wanna do with your computer?
No need to overclock if you won’t use the boost

Not on air…and not without volt modding.
OP: if you have no idea what you’re doing, I’d stay away from it. It cod be detrimental to your hardware if you screw something up.
Answer #11
I have been OC’ing for about 5 years, as long as you are patient and careful it is perfectly safe and can give yo huge changes in speed.
The 2 questions you need to ask are:-
1. Do I need to overclock? in other words do you run something on your PC which maxes out your CPU/GPU? if not then ask yourself question 2.
2. Do you just want to overclock because you can? Nothing wrong with this as a lot of people do it as a hobby.

BTW I have a Q6600 up from 2.4Ghz to 3.7Ghz, for day to day stuff it makes little difference but when encoding something it really flies.

The 1055T is easy to get to 4GHz on air. And changing the voltage in the BIOS != volt modding
