laptop problems..answers these questions please…!

Guyz I have some problem regarding my laptop computer the problems are following:
1. hidden files are located in all the folders of my laptop and the folder options are not located in tools and as well as in control panel ..so now how can i hide all those hidden files from my laptop???
2. I have one more problem in my laptop is that, when I use headsets they don’t work at all and sounds still come out from the laptop speaker..how can i mute laptop speakers???
please anyone answers these question of mine as soon as it possible..i will be very much thankfull…!

About the 2nd problem:
Right-click on your volume icon in the system tray and click Playback devices then choose which of them (your speakers, your headphones, etc) you want to be default. Then also double-click on the devices and hit the Test button to test for incoming sound. This also depends on the program you use, you might have to manually choose where you want the sound to go for a program like Skype or Windows Live Messenger
