.r00 file needed for further extraction…

September 21st, 2023

Hi, i just downloaded C&C: Tiberium Wars which exists out of 81 “rarred” files, which – when extracted – become 81 other files with extensions like: “.001, .002, etc.”
When i rename the “.001” file to “.rar” to extract the ISO inside, it goed to 1 % and then says i need the following volume: “.r00” But there never was a “.r00” file included ! I tried joining them using HJSplit, but then i just get a 7 GB file with no extension at all…

If you downloaded this at w-bb , ask/PM the author of the post what is the correct way to get the archive.
EDIT
I just saw the post where you got your links.
Others have the same problem and the poster has not replied with any help.
I am afraid you may have wasted your time.
Answer #2
don’t rename to rar
use hjsplit to join the .001, .002 ….. ect files
it should end up named your file name without the .00* extension
Answer #3
If Hjsplit does not join the files — unfortunately since version 3.xx of Winrar .001, .002 are valid rar extensions.
So if Hjsplit fails — open Winrar and then open the .001 file and extract (do not rename any files)
Generally Hjsplit uses a naming convention like filename.avi.001. filename.avi.002, etc.
So after joining your file will be filename.avi.
Answer #4
is correct. Just right-click on the 001 file and select open with. Then choose WinRar.
Answer #5
i renamed it to .rar before i saw this now i cant make it a .001 file. any ideas?
