Help burning xp .iso

August 7th, 2016

I am having some problems burning a bootable copy of windows xp sp3 that I downloaded. I unzipped all three files and took the .iso file placed it into magiciso and burned it to cd at 4x speed. I changed the boot sequence on my bios to go from my cd rom 1st but apparently I’m not burning it correctly. I tried to burn the .iso 2 more times and neither disc worked. Am I missing a step here? Am I supposed to put the whole folder into magiciso to burn or just the file that says .iso? I
Answer #1
i personally did this the other day, and it didnt work for me too, but i also have nero and then it worked
Answer #2
burn only the file named xxx.iso (xppro_with_sp3.iso for example)
if you ever burned all folders/files instead onto a disk, chances are that it’s the reason why it’s not working: your cd ain’t bootable.
Answer #3
Ok I tried it again with just the .iso file and its not working either. Could I have just downloaded a bad copy?
Answer #4
yep might be a reason. just grab your copy to another computer/friend and check if your cd loads fine.
if ever, then your comp is having an issue.
