windows xp problem – EXPERTS PLS HELP

hi there
im alisha i was wondering if someone can help me
i have windows xp on my machine whenn i log in the machine tried to load up and straight away it sasys saving settings and then goes back to windows login screen
i have carried out repairi using the boot cd but no doffierence, i have managed to load up 2nd windows xp on same machine which allows me to login but i cannot load up the windowd files in explorer using the 2nd windows xp
can someone help me what to do to repair this please
also tried system restire no help

So you installed Windows XP again in another partition? And I dont know what you could do besides reformating and doing clean install. Then use GetDataBack and hope for half of the stuff you had before to come back.

can you boot in safe mode?
Have you tampered with any critical files or downloaded any malicious files?
If you can tell us what changed since the last time it worked it may give us a better idea.
If you cant fix it then it will be simple enough to back up your stuff and format.

tried booting up in safe mode no difference at all, will try virus scan boot up cd and see if that helps
