Argh……Slow and sticky.

My laptop has become quite slow and can take an irritating amount of time to load web pages.
What would you say was the best clean-up/fault-finder/recovery program.
It’s a Lenovo T61 running Windows XP with 35gb left of storage.
I’m also useless when it comes to these things. All help is gratefully received.

If your using winxp, i would suggest first to reformat and install from fresh, and start anew. Then back up your c drive after you got everything on there, and you can always go back to that backup.
Best way.
There are plenty of guides using google.
Also if you do that and you use laptop just for browsing, do not install loads of apps you will never use on it.
I Agree with andy. And you can try using CCleaner and Defraggler .
Thanks both. However, it’s a second-hand laptop and I don’t have an XP disc.
Or do I not actually need one?
