NFS Undercover Keyboard Lag

August 2nd, 2016

Hey,
So I’ve just installed NFS Undercover and tried playing it a bit, but for some reason I have bad keyboard lag. I mean when I push the left arrow key to turn left, it only starts turning after a second or more… I think I remember having this problem with NFS Pro Street too, but never with any earlier editions of NFS. I’ve tried lowering all graphic settings, and nothing helps.
It’s odd because I can comfortably play Far Cry 2 on my PC on medium settings, so it’s not like my PC is not good enough for it :S really don’t get it.
Anyone experiencing the same problems? Or knows a way to fix it?

bump? I guess no one else has encountered such problems?
Answer #2
maybe your keybord is to blame
what kind do you have
i have this problem with my old keybord but i dont sisnce i have upgraded to a Saitek Eclipse II
Answer #3
currently using a Logitech G15
dunno, the game goes slow at some points too, really dont get why though. My PC is way above the minimum requirements and even with all settings at the lowest i still get it

Try using different keyboard, buy a new one. You can get a cord one for 10 bucks this days.
Also you didnt post your system specs… NFS U is not Farcry 2 and it needs good machine to run. Usually people need to have way more than minimum requirements to play games. Take for example Vista supposedly minimum requirements for ram are 512MB but in reality you need 2GB+ if you plan to use your computer otherwise lags like hell. Same principle apply s to this game if you dont have 2GB’s of ram, good graphics card with 512mb GDDR3 and fast dual core you will see lag.

Guessing the culprit could be my graphics card then.
my current specs are: AMD 64 6000+, 3GB DDR2 800, ATi Radeon X1950 Pro 256MB

just a heads up, seems its something wrong with the game engine and not my computer. After googling I found out many share the same ingame lag, even with powerful PC’s, and they also had the same problem with NFS Pro Street (which I did too). Seeing as NFS Undercover uses the same (crap) game engine as Pro Street, this seems to be more than a coincidence. Wish EA would get their ~love~ together tbh, Most Wanted was a fantastic game with a fantastic engine, why ruin it with terrible titles afterwards.
