how to make pc shut down at a time you choose

i wanna shout down pc when im in bed but i can ill be asleep is there any way i can do this without being at the pc ?

start> run> cmd
type
shutdown -s -t ####
replace the #### with the ammount of seconds before your computer shutsdown
EDIT: to cancel just type shutdown -a

or just do what i said? save you the time and bandwidth..
and what do you mean does it use time PC clock sais? it shuts down when the time runs up. When you execute the command a box comes up with a countdown to when it will shutdown.
