Question about 3d

August 6th, 2016

so i recently upgraded to 3d tv that has active 3d as i hear its much better and maintains 1080p resolution, my question is what search terms do i use to find movies for it, all i can find are side by side (sbs) but thats for passive, what do i need to look for to get the one with the two 1080p pictures over top of each other/ is it possible to watch a non direct bluray disk version of an active 3d movie?
Answer #1
You pretty much will only find sbs mkv on here.. If you have a bluray burner or can mount them on your laptop and hook up to tv.. I uploaded about 10-15 bluray ISos on here.. They are large from 26-41gb iso files.. But if you mount or burn to a BD-R it’s a exact image.. You should be able to download a sbs mkv and your tvs 3d settings can convert it into 1 image
Answer #2
Hmm Ty, I can get the sbs to work it’s just that was the point of the active over the passive, to maintain the resolution, doesn’t the sbs lower it since its 2 smaller pictures? And any sites u can recommend for the larger isos?
Answer #3
unfortunately 3dblurayiso.com was the only site that had them…but they got shut down and there really isnt any site like it…they exist on torrents…one of the few remaining sites…i use megashares….and all my iso uploads are on that site…there isnt really big demand for them so i dont push them too hard

ok so found a player to convert the 3d, thor looks crazy (awesome upload ty vm). just a few more questions sorry, i really want to make the right choice (as i am thinking of changing the 55″ hitachi active 3d for a lg 55″ passive 3d tv, both are led 120hz), is sbs made for passive and active both and if for both with it look better on an active or the same since its sbs, and 2 i guess will depend on the first question, can i view the iso 3d movies on a passive or is that just for active, and if its for both id imagine that the quality is better?
i really apreciate ur help
Answer #5
power dvd is awesome btw
Answer #6
You should be able to view the ISOs on any system..
TVs like Samsung will certainly let you view SBS with it’s active system..
LG could be the go with it’s passive glasses.
The are cheap, so you have not wasted too much money when the novelty wears off !
Answer #7
so the question remains because the 3d bluray looks really really good, the sbs does look pretty good too, are 3d blurays that arent sbs still viewable on a passive system or are those only for active?
