Install Painkiller: Recurring Evil on E: Partition not C:?
August 6th, 2016
EDIT:
I download Painkiller Recurring Evil (2012) [RePack] [RUS/ENG] and i can choose partition.
Glad you sorted it out. I have a bunch of games on my E drive under a folder I named No Install. What I do is install the game to the C drive while I collect registry information with a little app called “regfromapp”. It watches what registry changes take place during the install. You have to open it before you hit the actual install, at different points, and search its list for stuff like setup.exe or temp files the installer will put in the temp area. You can open multiple regfromapp windows if your not sure. Once the installation of the game is finished you can check the windows to see which one has the reg info in it and save it to a temp folder in the games directory. At this time before I launch the game I move a copy of the entire directory to my E drive No Install folder. Then I uninstall the game from C. Using a nocd fix from sites that offer them I then replace the games exe file in the E directory with the fixed one and try to play the game from E. If it will not play I can edit the registry I saved from within notepad to point to the new location (C\programs\whatever to E\No Install\whatever where applicable) and merge the reg info and try again. It’s been my experience that often the reg info is unnecessary (if your using a nocd fix) or you just need to make a new short one with only the serial number info to get troublesome games to play from E. I make a note in the temp folder whether I used the registry settings or not so if I want to remove the game I can just delete it if not or first remove the registry stuff I added and then delete the game with no uninstalling.
