Ebook Converter

I’m looking for an application to convert apnx-ebooks (ebooks from amazon) to a format like pdf, epub or acsm in order to read those ebooks on a different ebook reader than amazon kindle.
Is it even possible to convert apnx files?

Calibre is a great software to convert and transfer ebooks from computer to device…
thanks for the help! the software looks great
but the purchased (via amazon) are protected by DRM. thats why calibre can’t convert them.
is there a way to pass DRM in calibre?
