Question about Blu-ray download

If I were to download a movie that says blu-ray can you burn it to dvd and will it come out?
Or should I just look for a DVD version. I found one copy of the movie Rush from 1998, but it says blu-ray.

You can do it using say Convertxtodvd or freemake video converter.
It will convert the movie back to standard def DVD format, so that will be OK..

I’d suggest to save bandwidth look for 720 and not 1080 versions. 1080 may give a better quality when put to dvd but i wouldn’t think it’s worth the extra download. By putting to dvd, the max you can get is 576. When you see blu ray or dvd in a download, that’s telling you the source they came from. So a blu ray source will be better than a dvd one.
