unlock for 4.1

Unless you preserved your baseband from 4.0 or 4.0.1, then you’re SOL (possibly forever).
There is no unlock.. You need to wait 4.2 to be released. They have found crash and working on unlock that will unlock 4.1 and 4.2 iOS!
i accidently upgraded it to 4.1, i guess i have to downgrade

how can i unlock it, please note i do not have wifi and its iphone 3g

When you upgrade FW then you upgrade BB also. There is safer way by making CUSTOM IPSW that preserve BB, but it’s too late… You need to wait for unlock!

iOS 4.2 beta 3 was seeded to devs yesterday, so Apple will likely be pushing out the final copy in the next month (sooner maybe). Expect another week or two delay before the dev team releases their unlock.

Don’t worry, its been reported recently they will be able to unlock the new baseband. However, right now there’s nothing you can do really.

There is no available jailbreak for 4.2.1 out yet… So DON’T RUSH!
ultrasn0w unlock: After redsn0w is officially released with the new Cydia and kernel patches, we�ll be able to assess the unlock situation. It�s already looking very promising though, so expect the unlock for the 3G and 3GS to be coming this week. The i4 unlock is taking more effort though, and no further concrete info is available about that yet.
