August 2nd, 2016

ok so wat should i buy my mom is going to buy me a laptop i really want she said under 600 but ill try to ask her for 650 or should i get a ps3 or just upgrade my computer??? help me pick only 2 more months and some days left what do u think i should get??? and dont say x box 360 because i dont want no 360 it sucks no free online game play… red ring of death and other stuff but i care more bout online play because single player gets boring rite now my desktop if u want me to update my computer here r my specs SPECS:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Nvidia Geforce galaxy 8400 gs 512MB DDR2 RAM:DDR2 Dual Channel 333MHz i think its 800MHz some ppl told me 800MHz my ram handles.
HD: 640GB Intel Pentium E5400 Dual Core 2.70GHz
if i upgrade ill probly upgrade the graphics card and the power supply and if enough left over probly a core 2 quad or a core 2 duo
and probly like a 700 watt or 800 watt power supply is that enough???
is a core 2 duo a dual core or a quad core???

you know 2 months is still quite far off and you’ll see newer parts and computers on the market. At this rate getting a new gaming PC or laptop will cost you more than $600, you’re better off opting for the PS3

your better off getting a new build. Something that old isnt worth considering even to upgrade. And a Core 2 Duo is a Dual core CPU, not a quad. They have Core 2 Quads for that

Why are you even asking for help? You’ll end up going to Best Buy and spending a ridiculous amount of money on something overpriced thinking you got a good deal then complaining when you find out it’s not.

You can get a ps3 and upgrade your pc a bit.
you can get a laptop
you can get a ps3 and loads of games + psn points
you can upgrade your pc, but to get a “good” gaming pc you will need more then 650.

i dont need to get a good gaming pc X D i could just get a Asus – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 1.5GB GDDR5 PCI Express Graphics Card for 390.99 and a power supply and probly a intel core 2 quad remember i said under $600 ill be able to play every game on high with medium or high settings so yh my computer will be a turn into a gaming pc Razz and ill be also grading the case since this dell case is to small if i upgrade my computer if not wat do u think bout laptop or ps3 or upgrade

a $650 laptop won’t get you very far for gaming. It’ll be almost $1k for an alright gaming laptop. You’re better of with the PS3 and saving that mony for a PC or laptop change when you have enough in the future

dont say x box 360 because i dont want no 360 it sucks no free online game play... red ring of death and other stuff
Are you in stone age or just behind in hardware updates? There isn’t any RROD with the newer Xbox 360 S or the Jasper motherboard revision with a decent cooling setup.
Who said you can’t play online, many people are playing on Xbox live with modified consoles and backups as we speak. SPECS:

Well your computer seriously should be upgraded unless you don’t fancy playing some newer games. I reckon entire upgrade is essential. No one really buys C2D’s or C2Q’s unless your recycling your older hardware, which might not be worth it in some cases.
Seriously for that rig a 700/800W PSU, no way. Lets say that moniker will run fine with a 400W PSU. No matter what graphics card you get, I say around 450-500W.
Your CPU, If I remember correctly, only uses around 65W.
Graphics card around 50-70W. Motherboard+Memory+HDD+Optical, around 60W at most. Why are you even asking for help? You'll end up going to Best Buy and spending a ridiculous amount of money on something overpriced thinking you got a good deal then complaining when you find out it's not.
I have to agree with this guy, from the info you given us, you could change your mind anytime.
