High GPU Temperature in Batman: Arkham Origins

August 8th, 2016

GPU Temperature goes to 70 C or more. I have Windows 8 x64.
Answer #1
Does it hit those temperatures with other games?
70 degrees is well within (or under) the expected temps of GPUs. They typically can take up to 100 degrees.
Answer #2
I’d be surprised if it didn’t hit that temp. Vapor-X cooler can manage under that. I’m getting 60 with my 270x Vapor-X OC with boost. Idle temps is even more fun. How about under 30.
Answer #3
As others have stated 70C is well within range and is a fine temp. I would worry if it started to creep up past 90C but even then it’s ok.
It’s also very important to post under what settings your running the game under. That can make a huge difference on temps. Ie:
1) What resolution your playing at ? 1920, 720, etc ?
2) What graphic quality settings are you running at ? Ultra/very high/high/ etc ?
3) Is Anti-Aliasing turned on ? MSAA ?
Answer #4
I’m getting the same temperatures don’t worry, they game uses more gpu power if you enable Dx 11 settings. Try updating to latest (beta) drivers or turn off PhysX
Answer #5
70s – 80s are normal temperature of gpu while gaming. Dont see anything out of normal.
Answer #6
I would say as long as your not blue screenin or rebooting during the game you are fine. Your hardware knows when its too hot…
