PS3 Game Sofwtare Updates

hey guys
i have PS3 on CFW 3.55 Wankikoko
current problem is game update requirements before i can play.
i ignore it and the screen just goes black nothing happens, try to update the system crashes or resets
any idea what i could do to fix this ?
My Bluray Drive Doesn’t work, i’d greatly appreciate you guys helping me out.

Emulation works fine.
EDIT:
Installed Multiman got the updates and installed them
MK vs DC Plays now
Mortal Kombat doesn’t (MK9) the one i wanted to get playing the most
sais i ned to update system Software to 3.60 or later how do i fix that ?
