Trying to search for a movie here…

February 12th, 2019

SO i’m trying to find a movie, and this applies to anything, files, apps, etc… How do you search for something? Up until now i’ve used authors, or unique keywords, but for a movie like ‘now you see me now you don’t’ , how do you search for that on this site in the movie section?
Answer #1
You use the IMDB code.
Answer #2
Still can’t find it using this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1670345
Please remember to double check that all your links have been coded. #3.10 links must be coded - including, but not limited to, e-mail addresses, passwords and internal links.

Answer #3
Just search for this tt1670345 and make sure you select first post of topic only as option.
Answer #4
To search for movie “Now You See Me” use their IMDB link, for example the movie IMDb link is http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1670345/
and select “Search message text only”

Searching “message text only” sometimes gives a few more hits than searching “first post only”.
Because some topics list a lot of movies and they won’t all be in the first post.
Eg..

Answer #6
Yes that’s a point , but topic you have chosen doesn’t have any IMDB codes in it. So wouldn’t come up in this search either way surely?
Answer #7
Yes it does have codes in later pages of the topic..
I searched for the code within the topic and it brought up 3 matches…Here’s one of them.

Oh ok, my apologies. I looked at that topic from phone and it overloaded it, so was so slow loading and scrolling, that i gave up after the 3rd post. I don’t really search for much here, so my way works for me, but yes your way is better since it can pick up movies or shows that may only exist in another post rather than the first.
