would i be able to install windows on the SSD and install all the programmes (i.e. programme files) on my 1TB seagate hard drive?
thanks all

Yep, when you install a program, you can point it to where you want it to go.
Eg…….D:\Program Files\EA\Game
You will also have room for your favorite games or whatever on the SSD.
Answer #2
Yes,but a lot of people, including me,complain about freez moments,3-5 sec. that you can do nothing.
It happens on a regular base.I read it has something to do with a bios-upgrade.
Answer #3
Symlinks. Learn them.
Answer #4
Yes, as Nel said. You would probably also want to install apps that take time to open on a normal hdd, such as Office (with many plugins) Photoshop etc
I think the poster above is referring to firmware upgrades for the SSD’s ?

You probably meant to say: Install those, that take a long time to load, on the SSD. Otherwise, there’s not much point in buying the SSD.
60GB will get small quite fast – if you intend to put games on it.

yes
ssd’s are brilliant at improving your boot speed. I’d get at least a 120gb one though. Then you can install some programmes you use alot aswell

I think you misread my post – that’s exactly what I said, when read in conjunction with my previous post about installing the OS on the SSD.
!20 GB is about the best size to aim for currently (at current prices), unless you put 2 x 60 in RAID 0, if you can afford it.

If you already know what it is supposed to mean, then you read it correctly, yes. However, at first I was irritated because I read it like this: “You would probably also want to install apps, that take time to open, on a normal hdd. (Note the additional comma) The problem is not mentioning the SSD in the sentence, which is why it can be read like that
