Firefox Configuration Question
August 13th, 2013
Is there any way to prevent the Library window from automatically resetting itself on every link access? I’ve been all over the Mozilla site with no luck.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
So your history is being cleared? Open up options ——> Privacy ——> Untick ‘Clear history when Firefox Closes’
Make sure ‘Remember my browsing history’ has a check mark in the box.
Thanks but no luck. Those settings are correct. When I click “Show History” a second window opens, showing me the Library/History. If I need to see what I was doing on – example the 20th of last month, then I scroll down there. I find many links that I need to look at. I click on a link and it opens in the original browser window. Perfect.
The only issue is that the History window has scrolled itself back up to the most recent browser activity i.e. – the link I just accessed. Now I have to go back down and find my batch of links again, and check the next one. For every link. There should be a setting for the Library window but I haven’t been able to find it.
Maybe this will help….
If, when you open history and click on one of many links of a particular day, you
right click on the link and open in new tab.
For me it leaves the history/library open and the last link I checked highlighted and I can just look at the next link without re-opening history and I get a separate tab for each linked I checked. .
No, the library window goes back to “todays” links only. The link clicked is now at the top because it was my last selection.
Thanks for trying though.
