Question about business software

July 29th, 2013

I have owned my own lawncare business for quite some time. I normally just keep all my information on paper, but this year I will be changing that. What is the best program to keep track of –
Money gained
Money spent
Customer’s information/payments to me
That is the basis. I feel as if quickbooks would be my best bet. Any ideas??
Thanks for your time and consideration everyone.

Answer #1
Quickbooks might be overkill for your requirements.
Give some of the freeware personal accounting softwares a go. I think they might suffice your need:
Grisbi:

HomeBank:

Money Manager EX:

Finance Explorer:

GnuCash (financial and accounting software with double entry book keeping, invoicing, etcetera):

For proprietary software, try Quicken Home & Business 2012.
