Downloaded something from banned user

Just downloaded something and as I went to exit the topic, noticed he/she had been banned.
Was just wondering if there was any way to find out why the user was banned?
Should i just jettison the d/l file without opening it?

Should i just jettison the d/l file without opening it? no, why a user is banned is private between STAFF and the banned user. if they were posting malware, all their posts would be sent to quarantine, so you would not see them. as to deleting it, run it through virustotal and see what it says. also, check any replies to the topic.

not exactly true.
I wouldn’t worry mate, if the “user” was banned for posting fakes or malware etc they’ll be removed so users can’t see or download them.
I’d stay away from the “hacked” accounts though but again ^ applies.
