Vaio VGN-SR29VN HDD Flex Cable Part Number

I read some on google and find out that VGN-SR has two identical looking flex cables part number M750 & M751.
I bought M750. Now I don’t know did I bought the right cable, and a few parts on my laptop have both M750 & M751 part number.
USB Board Connection Flex Cable M750
Dock Station Connection Flex Cable M750
DC Cable M750
Button Board M751
TPM Board M751
ODD Board (DVD/CD) M751
I am confused because I don’t know which is the right part for HDD Flex Cable.
So, any help is appreciated. Thank You

as you can see on the picture flex cable that i bought part number is M750. the M750 & M751 are same but not same if you know what i mean. From ebay: “Please Note : Check it before your purchase.this laptop have 2types cable connector,M750 and M751”

What I meant was can’t you see on your original cable for which you need?
The M750 is on both old and new cables ?
Is the cable clamped down tightly where it connects to the motherboard?

i throw away the old cable, so i don’t know.

yes its clamped. first it goes in a horizontal hole and then it’s clamped with movable plastic cap.

My friend will come back to work in 3 days. When he returns(he works at a Sony’s repair center) he will search which cable goes in the laptop. I called another friend and he told me http://anonym.to/?http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sony-VAIO-VGN-SR-M751-Sata-Hard-Drive-FPC-Cable-1P-1087M00-2111-M751-NKCH22-US-/231307036172 That this is the cable that goes in. I’m not sure of his answer but I think that if the m750 is not the correct one it remains only another cable. You could also check with a multimeter if the current route is okay.

i will check with multimeter a see is everything good. if you don’t forget to notify me in 3 days when your friend get’s back to work, we will see what he says. ebay seller told me that if i want a re found i must send back cable by the 25th february, and i will then order the M751 flex.

I have ordered M751 cable and it works perfectly.
